Looks like many of the Big Benchers over 50 are planning on doing APF Masters Nationals in Baton Rouge in May. - Buddy McKee should go well over 600
- Mike McDaniel, who may be the first 50+ to squat a grand should have his first 600 by then.
- Roger Ryan is seeing if he can make it work - and will go over 700
- JoeSmo will try to hit 625
- Jerry Gnerre should hit his first 600!
Buddy sent out a challange to all master benchers, any age, any weight class - WHO WILL BE THE MEET BEST BENCHER? Hopefully we'll get alot of those on "the list" to make it. Pass the word, we want to have one helluva Geritol event. Let's try to get as many "over 50" benchers there.

The thread about this at the APF-WPF Forum is turning out pretty good. This event can be huge. I know some people are not traditional APF lifters which makes it even better. This is a refreshing change from the normal crap on message boards. I think we need to keep the message going out there. Looks like it is shaping up to be a big show. Many of the 0ver50over600 active lifters are committing to be there. Mike McDaniel, Buddy McKee, Jerry Gnerre, and myself have been promoting this at the APF/WPC site as a good thing for PLing. Could be half a dozen over 600 and at least 1 over 700. To make it interesting, Buddy threw out a challenge to all master benchers, regardless of age or weight. Could be the biggest collection of old men benching great by any standard.
